consultations
There are certain situations when you know you should have an Attorney. Those include, you have been served with process (Summons and Complaint), are buying a piece of real estate, or selling a business. In other situations, it may be unclear how an Attorney could be of service and what that service would cost.
If you would like a limited interaction with an Attorney, who will listen to your concerns, review documents and answer your questions, then offer guidance about how our legal system works and provide you with options about what next steps can be taken to accomplish your goals - - a consultation is the first move.
Do you have either of these questions: (1) “I know I should have a Will, but I am hearing a lot about Trusts from friends and family. Do I need a Trust as part of my Estate Planning?” or (2) “I think that another person or business has done me wrong, and I should sue them. But how much would it cost to file a lawsuit, in which Court and what is the likelihood of success?”
Consultations allow for meaningful interaction with an Attorney, without long-term commitment or heavy investment. It is our goal to provide Consultees with enough information and advice to empower them to make the best decisions for themselves as to a future course of action. Sometimes, as a result of a consultation, it may be best not to engage us, and either do nothing or move forward on a “DIY” basis. Only if, after the consultation, it makes sense to both the Consultee and this Law Firm to work together, then a task-based or more full representation will be considered.
If you would like to learn how an Attorney may be of assistance and, if so, to do what and for what cost, have a Consultation with DCummings Law in the areas of Business Litigation, Real Estate Transactions and Wills, Trusts and Estate Planning and make an informed decision.
